Hello and welcome to my blog! This blog is run by me , a 27 year old history student. I have always been fascinated by history and as I've gotten older it has just gotten worse! I grew up in Ireland, surrounded by castle ruins dotted all over the place. I have always loved nothing more than visiting historic sites and places and imagining the people who had once walked in those same areas. However it wasn't until after reading "A Song Of Ice and Fire" by George RR Martin, that my love for medieval history really took off. After reading all the completed books in the ASOIAF  series and hungry for a similar story filled with twists, turns, betrayal and political intrigue, that I began to look into its inspirations and came upon the history of the War of the Roses and the fascinating Plantagenet Dynasty (we need more shows about them! enough of the Tudors!). Since then history is something that occupies 85percent of my mind with the other 15percent being books! I decided to create this blog so that I could share my love of history and books with others and also use it as an outlet to write about my life.
